Capture Energy: How your property can benefit from energy storage
Reduce peak demand, make better use of your own solar power and lower electricity costs. Energy storage offers property owners a range of opportunities, but what does it take to make the investment pay off? We asked Niklas Tjäder, CCO at Capture Energy, one of the exhibitors at Clima Energy Nordic, three quick questions about the untapped potential, the financial calculations that matter and what visitors can expect to learn at their stand.
Where do you see the greatest untapped potential for energy storage in properties today?
“The greatest potential lies in using storage to reduce peak demand and shift electricity use to times when prices are lower. Many property owners pay unnecessarily high demand charges, and as EV charging, heat pumps and solar installations become more widespread, managing electricity use is becoming increasingly important. An energy storage system enables a property to make better use of its own solar power, ease pressure on the grid and generate additional revenue by providing grid support services.”
What will it take for more property owners to move from interest to investment?
“Above all, clear and credible financial projections. Property owners need to understand the financial return based on their specific property, electricity consumption patterns and supply contract. It is also about making the process simple. A complete solution, with a single provider taking responsibility for everything from analysis and installation to operation and optimisation, makes it much easier to take the next step.”
What will you be showcasing at Clima Energy Nordic, and what do you hope visitors will take away?
“At our stand, we will showcase a range of products and solutions, including our energy storage systems and how they are controlled and optimised. We hope visitors leave with a clear understanding of what energy storage could mean for their properties, ideally with an initial idea of the savings they could achieve.”
